Didactic programs for schools. Capitoline Museums - In-depth study: Palazzo Nuovo
Guided tour of Palazzo Nuovo
This museum sector, despite the changes over the centuries, has largely retained its eighteenth century features.
The decorative aspect of the environment has remained almost unchanged, and the sculptures and inscriptions have been arranged accordingly. The fine ancient sculptures come largely from private collections of prelates and noble Roman families. The building, unlike Palazzo dei Conservatori, shows a symmetrical balance of spaces and architectural elements.
