Starting from Monday, March 30, 2015 new opening hours of some museums of the Rome's Civic Museums network.
Giovanna Marinelli: "The Capitoline Museums, Trajan's Market - Museo dei Fori Imperiali and the Ara Pacis Museum will be open 7 days a week, just like the greatest museums of the world such as the MoMA in New York, the Prado in Madrid and the Pergamon in Berlin. Our museums will be more and open to the public."
It is an real novelty for Musei in Comune - Rome's Civic Museums Network - to be launched from Monday, March 30: the Capitoline Museums, the Markets of Trajan - Museo dei Fori Imperiali and the Ara Pacis Museum will be open 7 days a week, with their wonderful collections and art of ancient Rome, are the pride of the network.
These three museums will no longer be closed on Monday and can be visited every day from 9.30 to 19.30.
The MACRO - Museo d'Arte Contemporanea Roma also changes its opening hours: it will be open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10.30 to 19.30.
Free admission for all visitor confirmed in the 'seven small museums of Rome': Museo di Scultura Antica Giovanni Barracco, Villa di Massenzio, Museo delle Mura, Museo Carlo Bilotti, Museo Napoleonico e Museo Pietro Canonica a Villa Borghese, Museo della Repubblica Romana e della memoria garibaldina. Another museum will be added to this list from next Monday, March 30: Museo di Casal de’ Pazzi, the eighth free museum in Rome will host some intersting findings of the Pleistocene era.
